The Story behind the artist:
I was born in 1991. (My Birth Mom was a Drug and Alcohol addict..good thing I never grew up knowing her)....
I was a very sick and weird baby....and I was adopted by My Mom and Dad at 3 weeks old...eventually they had gotten divorced, I grew up with My Mom,My 2 older sisters, and My older brother. I was born with disabilities. I was bullied alot as a kid, because I was weird and different. But I didnt really care, because I had my family.
I grew up with a passion for music and drawing (I loved to play guitar and draw alot)....
Anyway....By the time I was about 17 in 2008, Skyler,(the baby you see in the pictures above),was born. I was happy He was Born. And I was also proud to be a big brother....
He had a lot of heath issues and was hospitalized alot.
Skyler died at the age of 6 in the year 2014 from all of his medical issues.
It took a heavy toll on our family.....his death left me very emotional....
After his funeral,I felt like a part of me was missing.
And, I had no way besides sketching, painting, and using music to really express how I was feeling.
And so, later that year a friend of my family, named Peggy, had seen what she called "An Artistic Spark" in me,after looking at a few of my sketches one night while visiting my family.
She could tell that I was angry and in pain. She could see that I had trouble trying to express myself through words at the time, and she could see my emotions in my sketches and paintings....
Lucky for me, she too was an artist! She asked me if I'd be willing to become her apprentice in the art of Stained Glass.....
I myself being intrigued, and hesitent said yes....
And so,I started helping her, and learning the art of the trade.
I was cutting, carving, and creating everything by hand, while using my sketches and concepts to bring them to life in the form of glass......
That same year that I accepted the apprentice-ship, My Brother In Law, whom was a Professional Artist and novice guitarist, had taken me under His wing as well, and had taught me
how to make clay sculptures.
gave me tips on how to draw/sketch better.
taught me all the different colors (and different types of paint) and how to use them.
He even taught me the purpose of alot of different art tools and brushes! I learned about alot of different art mediums, art techniques, and art tools that year.
And,in a way, both of those influential, and artistic family role models, had helped take the pain I had....And, turned My Pain Into A Passion By Helping Me Express Myself Through Art And Music......
And Now,I use My art and music in order to make a difference in peoples lives and inspire them(while im doing what I love),change the world(while being myself),and to prove to the world that no matter who you are, even with disabilities ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
And So, I Encourage Anyone Who Reads This,To Never Stop Being Yourself,Do What Makes You Happy, And "Reach 4 The Sky"!!!
